Day 84: glad there are still creative students

While I was absent yesterday I had students in Spanish 1 create “desay-uerzo” “tables” (yes, I know this is not a real Spanish word but we are studying breakfast and lunch food) I left instructions to be super creative and that a group from each class would win a prize. I told students my colleague would judge. Unfortunately, only one (out of 32 groups) really deserved a prize since most were just labeled pictures…. So, I guess the only winner is the group that created a 3D “desay-uerzo.” Yay for students who think outside the box. I wish there were more students willing to take risks and more opportunities to be creative in school.
