Day 56: Buen Fin vs. Black Friday

Inspired by Zachary Jones’ great activity on “Buen Fin”: http://zachary-jones.com/zambombazo/caricaturas-y-opiniones-sobre-el-buen-fin-2012/, I had students read a text to discover more about the new Mexican “tradtion” of “Buen Fin.” While reading authentic texts, teachers should change the task, not the text (#ACTFL) to make the content accessible, so I had students circle cognates and underline morphemes (-dad, -mente, -cion, etc.) and then give me a gist of the main idea.
