Day 6: first day of school

-1205941463

In my Spanish one class today I had my students identify Spanish speaking countries on a giant shower curtain map. We played a game that I learned while chaperoning German camp (#iloveclv). Two teams, one blindfolded student from each team and the other students on the team yelling instructions in Spanish: “norte, norte!” “Oeste!” While blindfolded students tried to place mini flags on the appropriate countries. Objectives were two-fold: identify Spanish speaking countries and reflect on the strategies they used to figure out instructions in Spanish as well as cognates such as océano pacifico.
